Status: A gambling monkey, I bet!

Hati was born in a monkey tribe in the northwestern part of Calabria. The younger monkeys often played with cards or dice and Hati learned early how to gamble. After a short time, he was so good at it that he won every game they played, and so he decided to leave the tribe in pursuit of fortune.

The young monkey went for the big cities in Calabria to make easy money with his gambling skills. He first went to Harrowgate, where he was quite successful and made a lot of money, but eventually someone recognized that he was cheating a little bit. A large wolf grabbed him and took back all of Hati's hard-earned money.

Hati realized that his main problem was that he was too small and too bad a fighter to be able to defend himself. That was the moment when he decided to invest in some means of self-defense. He went to a apothecary, who taught him how to extract poison out of herbs he could find in the wild. From that time on, Hati had always a small flask of poison in his bag. He'd use it by putting the poison on one of his darts or his knife and of course try to injure his foes with it.

The following years, Hati made much money gambling, as he travelled from city to city. Eventually, he ended up in Clarion, where he undertook a very particular gamble. Hati managed to win all the money from a hare named O'Hara, who then made the crucial mistake of wanting to double the bet, risking his tavern The Happy Hare. A few moments later, Hati was a tavern owner, and in the evening he had sold the tavern again, for a bag full of gold coins.

The next day, Haiti tried his luck in another tavern in the city. But this time, he was not as lucky as the day before, and his opponent saw Hati cheating. When O'Hara heard of that he was more than a little bit enraged and alerted the local constabulary in order to arrest Hati, but the monkey was too fast, and left the city just in time to escape. He went back to Harrowgate and from there he went in the direction of Triskellian because he heard about the opening of The Furry Paradise, a magnificent establishment with lots of gambling opportunities.

On his way, he was ambushed by three wolves. They stole his gold and although they also wanted to kill him, he could yet again escape. Some weeks later his erratic journey ended in Triskellian at the Furry Paradise, where he met Calis and Razor. Lionel the Rich, owner of the Furry Paradise, offered them a mission, including lots of money, as he was mistaking the newly acquainted not-yet-friends for an adventuring party. A lot of money naturally meant a lot, especially to Hati, and since that day, Hati travelled with his new friends.

One should choose his friends carefully. Later on, Hati had banded up with Mylar, a tiger with a sense of comradeship like a chainsaw in a porcelain store. During an episode when Hati was about to cross a river, climbing a rope, Mylar came to the wonderful conclusion that he should shake the rope to speed up things. This naturally caused Hati to fall into the river, and despite desperate rescue attempts from the rest of the party, Hati drowned.

Mylar survived that event for about six minutes, but was then rent a deadly gash by Kheeran who had become Hati's friend... well, that's what friends are for...
