Se'rrt the Silent, as he's been called by some of the people travelling with him, is a cat from the Wildenlands. He grew up with the Screeberagh, but is not strictly one of them.

Se'rrt's family was killed by wolves when he was but a kitten, and he is driven by his hatred and craving for revenge to find the ones that did the awful deed. One of them, Günnar, he has already tracked down and killed, but the other, and the people behind the murders, he's still looking for.

Se'rrt frequently gets quite out of his depth in society as he's go very little experience with such foreign notions. He can't read and the only thing he can write is the carving of his claws into the hide of those who mock him for it. A little hint: Don't try it.
