Status: Cute little cat, but when down to it, a dangerous spy.
Played by Dennis
Syrin, the psychotic kitty. You couldn't help loving her a little, but if you
didn't make sure that you were always useful to her, you'd have ended up the
same way her former lovers. In Calabria, she's legendary, and many a wolf shiver
at her memory...
Being a former spy, Syrin started out with a mission to spy on
Calis, but soon figured out that her former employer
wasn't that important anymore; she decided that she would be better off with
her own agenda, and so began an unlikely series of adventures, in which
she constantly sought to improve her own situation. Syrin was an opportunist,
indeed, but an opportunist with style.
It is no secret that Syrin for a long time resented the frendship between
Risla and Raslon, and
she constantly attempted to assassinate Raslon (since Syrin still had a bone
to pick with him, preferrably the skull bone). To her immense annoyance,
all such attempts failed. This did not make her even thinking of giving up...
not at all...
Instead, Syrin set out to improve her own position, shedding friends and
lovers faster than fur during springtime. During this phase, she lost contact
with the party.
After having bribed, charmed, threatened, lied and seduced her way to the top
economic circles in Ravarra, Syrin set
her trap. It was a wonderfully evil one, and beautiful in its simplicity.
Next time the band of adventurers approached Ravarra, they were greeted by a
beaming Syrin. She showed them how dazzlingly prosperous she'd become, and
insisted that all grudges were forgiven. She also mentioned how she'd
personally seen to that Raslon now was dead. This was an elaborate lie, which
she backed up with forged evidence. Oh yes, Syrin's revenge had begun...
Well, that is, she underestimated the reaction to her "news". It was a somewhat
bloody Syrin that had the party thrown out from Ravarra, but at that point
it wasn't revenge anymore. It was war.
Later on, a second plan failed. After having arranged the city guards to be
mysteriously off duty to lure the party back into the city, Syrin got a bit
too self-confident, and posed as live bait in a trap she'd set for the party.
They were too fast. Before the concealed guards could intervene, Syrin was
no more. She'd gotten her comeuppance.
But even in death, Syrin's revenge lasted. Her guards killed Risla during the
ensuing escape attempt, and in the end, it was Raslon who received the message
that his beloved Risla was dead.
Syrin won... always...
