The Happy Hare

The Happy Hare

In Clarion, the Happy Hare is by far the best and most proper of the three major inns. It is owned by O'Hara, a hare of very sound principles. The inn is normally in a very clean and proper state, serving the tastes of the lapine population to their preference.

If you are looking for the vegetarian alternative, you should definitely consider the Happy Hare, as the menu includes anything green and healthy, mostly without fur. Invariably, you get a large amount of food, and it's often quite good.

The sleeping accommodations are quite alright, and despite the fact that there have been rumours of thieves operating among the sleeping guests of the tavern, nothing has ever been proven. O'Hara assures that nothing of the sort ever takes place in his tavern.

The Happy Hare is located near the Castle of Clarion, which naturally makes it a place that the non-noble castle dwellers visit frequently. If you want to get gossip from the higher strata of Clarion, a good place to start is here.

People

O'Hara (Owner)
The jovial O'Hara is not only the owner of the Happy Hare. Since he's also a very competent physician, he makes sure that the customers of the tavern are not only happy, but also stay in good health.

Bruno (Bouncer)
A fellow rather akin to Bruin is working as a pacifier at the Happy Hare whenever needed, for example when there's another of those big treasures rumoured to be found in town and all those adventuring types come and disturb the order. For some reason, this happens all too often. Bruno blames the Game Host.

Magnificus Rating

3/5 wine bottles
If you're in Clarion, there are
worse places to stay at...

  • Drink: 3/5
About average. You get drinkable wine here.
  • Food: 3/5
Lots of it, alright, but what's with all these vegetables and healthy stuff? Can't a decent weasel get something real to eat?
  • Entertainment: 4/5
They tell it's tranquil here, but last time I visited, the food war was really entertaining.
  • Lodging: 3/5
Standard inn lodging. There's a noticeable lack of distinct door locks though.
  • Price: 3/5
Pretty okay, although the currency hassle always makes it a bit complicated.
